ICC Test rankings: Australia sweeps third place after clean sweep against England

England slipped down in the latest ICC rankings – Australia finished third in the ICC Team Ranking with an innings and 123 runs victory in the fifth and final Test against England.
Australia, after the end of the Sydney Test, has reached number three, while England, who have occupied this position earlier, have slipped to fourth place.
Prior to the series in Australia, there was 97 points and it was fifth, while England was third with 105 points. Australia have won 4-0 in the series, which has led them to 104, while England have 99 points.
Australia now have seven points from the top-ranked India (124 points) and the second-place team South Africa (111 points). India and South Africa are currently running a series of three Test matches.
Australia now have to go on a South African tour where they play four Test matches. The England team will go on a tour of New Zealand for a series of two Test matches. After this England will host India for two Test matches in Pakistan and five Tests for India.
